Florida Gators lacrosse to move to the Big 12 in 2025

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida lacrosse team will be taking their talents to the Big 12 Conference next season in 2025. The Gators will be accompanied by San Diego State, UC Davis, Cincinnati, Colorado and Arizona state.

This will be the fourth conference Florida will be in since starting their program in 2010. They spent their first five seasons in the American Lacrosse Conference (ALC) from 2010-2014, before moving over to the Big East for four seasons from 2015-2018, to currently being in their sixth year and fifth season in the American Athletic Conference (AAC).

2025 will be the first year of the Big 12 Conference in women’s lacrosse. The format of the league will be composed of teams playing a single round-robin, consisting of five games with the top four teams advancing to the Big 12 Championship. The 2025 championship tournament is set for May 1 & 3, in Colorado at Prentup Field.

Florida currently holds an overall record of 77-7 in all years of conference play with a 25-1 record in the AAC, 31-1 record in the Big East and a 21-5 record in the ALC. Below Is their year-by-year performance in each conference and championships they have won.
