Florida Gators lacrosse signs 10 in 2020

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida women’s lacrosse team has added 10 newcomers for the 2021 season.

Ashley Gonzalez, Maggi Hall, Julia Hammerschlag, Liz Harrison, Emily Lortz, Jackie Norsworthy, Bella Palagonia, Emma Panciocco, Danielle Pavinelli and Kelly Schluederberg have all signed their National Letters of Intent and will join the Gators for the 2020-21 academic year.

This class continues an impressive run of recruiting under Amanda O’Leary, as the Gators secured NLIs from two ILWomen Top-40 recruits and four ILWomen On the Rise recruits.

“We are extremely excited about these 10 young women joining our Florida Gator lacrosse family,” said head coach Amanda O’Leary. “They are not only great athletes and competitors, but wonderful people. We look forward to their skills and character that will help uphold the standard for Florida lacrosse.”

Andrew Spivey
Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
