Florida Gators junior day visitors list preview: February 2nd/3rd

This Saturday will be the last junior day for the Florida Gators for this contact period and they’re preparing for several big visitors on campus this weekend.

Several quarterbacks are expected in town this weekend as the Gators look to add a signal caller for the 2025 class and 2026 class.

GatorCountry brings you a preview of this weekend’s visitors list for the coaching staff.

Quarterbacks coming to town

Headlining the visitors list this weekend is 2025 quarterback Ryan Montgomery who has been a top target for the Gators for a while now. South Carolina and Georgia are also heavily in the mix for Montgomery and he visited both of those schools last weekend.

2025 SMU quarterback commit Keelon Russell plans to be on campus this weekend and hopes to pick up an offer during the visit.

2026 quarterback Will Griffin arrived on campus on Thursday and plans to stay through Saturday. Griffin will spend Friday with some of the players and follow them around during a normal school day for them.

2026 quarterback Semaj Beals will make the trip down to Gainesville on Saturday from Pennsylvania in hopes of picking up an offer from the Gators. This will be the first time in Gainesville for Beals.

The offensive side of the ball well represented

If Montgomery doesn’t headline the list, then 2025 receiver Caleb Cunningham certainly will. Cunningham is one of the best receivers in the country and will make the trip over from Mississippi.

2025 tight end Bear Tenney plans to make the long trip to Gainesville from Utah on Saturday and the tight end likes the Gators a lot after picking up an offer from Florida earlier this year.

2025 offensive linemen Chastan Brown and Mario Nash will both be in town this weekend. Brown currently has an offer from the Gators, but Nash is looking to pick one up from Florida.

2025 offensive lineman Mason Short is a former Alabama commit and he will be in Gainesville for the first time on Saturday. Short has a lot of schools after him including the instate Georgia Bulldogs.

2025 IMG offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn has been on campus several times already and he plans to be back on Saturday.

Defenders heading to town

2025 Florida State defensive end commit Javion Hilson plans to be in town this weekend to visit the Gators. Hilson has still been talking with the staff despite his commitment to the Noles.

2025 defensive linemen Adam Shovlin and Xavier Ukponu both plan to visit Gainesville on Saturday. Shovlin hopes to pick up an offer from Florida while Ukponu currently has one.

2025 Linebacker Christian Jones and Christian Gass both plan to visit Gainesville on Saturday in hopes of picking up an offer from the Gators.

2025 defensive back Bryce Fitzgerald and defensive back Rashad Johnson both plan to be on campus this weekend. Fitzgerald currently holds an offer from Florida.
