This is Florida’s only Friday Night Heights appearance for January. The Jan. 24 meet versus No. 7 LSU airs live on ESPN2. The Gators close SEC regular-season action with three consecutive Friday Night Heights appearances – at Auburn (Feb. 14), vs Alabama (Feb. 21) and at Georgia (Feb. 28).

The Gators in Last Friday’s Season Opener:
Florida matched the nation’s top 2020 opening total in its Jan. 10 197.35 – 194.40 win over preseason No. 19 Arkansas in front of an Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center crowd of 7,531. The total also set Florida’s all-time best for a season opener.

Florida swept the top two spots for each apparatus, with sophomore Trinity Thomas taking titles for bars (9.925), beam (9.975) and floor (9.975) and earned her seventh collegiate all-around win with the nation’s No. 3 total (39.70) of this young season. Fellow sophomore Nya Reed equaled her collegiate best for both events competed – vault (9.875) and floor (9.925) – and won her first vault title.

About the Missouri:
Missouri opened 2020 by taking second with a 195.60 in its Jan. 4 home triangular. Morgan Porter took second in the season opener all-around with MU’s 2020 high of 39.20. A pair of Tigers claimed the first league weekly honors after their performances in the tri-meet – senior Aspen Tucker (Specialist of the Week) and Helen Hu (Freshman of the Week). The Tigers lost last Friday in its SEC opener at No. 10 Kentucky 196.525-195.50. Hu used a 9.95 to win her second consecutive beam title last Friday.
