Florida Gators fall to Florida State at home to end the 2023 season

The Florida Gators (5-8, 3-5) lost to the Florida State Seminoles (12-0, 8-0) 24-15 on Saturday night in the Swamp in a game that both offenses struggled.

Both teams had to go with back-up quarterbacks on Saturday and neither team could get much momentum on offense in a game that was 12-7 at halftime.

The Gators’ defense had a strong first half but struggled with the passing game in the second half as Florida State was able to come from behind to win.

 

FIRST QUARTER:

Florida State 14, Florida 12- 36-yard rushing touchdown by Trey Benson with 12:31 to go.
