Florida Gators defensive line recruiting board for 2019

The Florida Gators have just one defensive line commit in the class of 2019 and are looking to add several more targets to the class.

Entering fall camp the Gators have defensive tackle Jaelin Humphries committed and he’s solid to the class but the Gators are looking for one more tackle and a couple of defensive ends to surround Humphries in the class.

GatorCountry brings you the top targets at this time to finish off the class at defensive back.

Defensive end

Khris Bogle (6-3, 200, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Cardinal Gibbons) Bogle visited Florida in July for the first time since the spring. Miami and Tennessee are way ahead for Bogle at this time with the Gators and Florida State chasing those teams.

Justin Eboigbe (6-5, 263, Forest Park, GA.)- Eboigbe is committed to Alabama but says he plans to visit Gainesville for the Kentucky game this fall. Eboigbe sees the log jam of defensive lineman at Alabama and that could be something that plays into Florida’s favor but the Gators have work to do for the Alabama commit.

Derick Hunter (6-4, 276, Fort Myers, FL. Dunbar)- Hunter is committed to Florida State but visited Gainesville for Friday Night Lights and says he plans to visit Florida this fall again. Hunter is going to keep listening to other schools despite his commitment to Florida State. The Gators are a team that Hunter likes a lot because of his relationship with Sal Sunseri.

Lloyd Summerall (6-5, 205, Lakeland, FL. High)- Summerall has been to Florida a lot since the spring and the Gators are the team with the momentum heading into the fall. Summerall just moved to Lakeland High School and has become very close with tight end Keon Zipperer. Those two guys likely play together in college and the Gators are going to battle Miami for both of them. Expect both guys to visit both schools a lot this fall.

Kayvon Thibodeaux (6-4, 238, Westlake Village, CA. Oaks Christian)- Thibodeaux is the number one player in the country and while Florida’s chances with him are slipping, the Gators are still in line to get an official visit from the defensive end. Thibodeaux has Alabama, Florida State and USC ahead of Florida but an official visit could help the Gators.

Defensive tackle

D’Von Ellies (6-2, 280, Owings Mills, MD. McDonogh School)- Ellies visited Florida this summer for Friday Night Lights and picked up an offer there. Ellies doesn’t talk about his recruitment much but if the Gators can get him back on campus again, he’s one to watch.

Renato Brown (6-3, 310, West Palm Beach, FL Palm Beach Central)- Brown who was a one time Miami commit plays both offensive and defensive line but recently stated he wants to play on defense in college. Brown says the Gators are one of a few schools recruiting him on defense which plays into the favor not. Brown says he plans to visit Gainesville this fall as the Gators look to beat out Miami for the lineman.
