Florida Gators 2023 football schedule released

The Florida Gators 2023 football schedule has been officially released by the SEC.

September 2nd – Utah

The Gators will travel to Salt Lake City just a year after the Utes visited Gainesville. Gators won this year’s matchup 29-26 in a thrilling upset victory. SEC refs will be traveling to this game.

September 9th – McNeese State

Gators are back home for week two as they welcome McNeese State into the Swamp. This is the first time these teams will face off. The FCS school is 0-3 to start the 2022 season.

September 16th – Tennessee

The Gators kick off SEC play with Tennessee. This matchup will take place in Gainesville.

September 23- Charlotte

Charlotte makes their way to Gainesville, allowing for three straight home games for the Gators in 2023. This will be the first time these teams meet on the football field. Charlotte’s football program was established in 2008. They hold a 1-3 record this season.

September 30th – Kentucky

The Gators travel to Lexington in 2023, trying to avoid three straight losses to the Wildcats.

October 7th – Vanderbilt

Vandy makes their way to Gainesville for this midseason clash. Vanderbilt is off to a good start in 2022, sitting at 3-1 through four games.

October 14th – South Carolina

Gators are back on the road for week seven, as Florida travels to Columbia to take on the gamecocks.

October 28th – Georgia

Florida gets their bye week the week before they take on the Bulldogs in Jacksonville.

November 4th – Arkansas

The Gators will host the Arkansas Razorbacks for their first SEC West matchup.

November 11th – LSU

Gators are on the road in week 11, as they take on LSU. This is the Gators 2nd and final SEC West opponent.

November 18th – Missouri

The Gators are back on the road the following week, taking on Missouri in Columbia. These are the only back-to-back road games on the Gators schedule. This will be the end of conference play for the Gators.

November 25th – FSU

The Gators round out their 2023 schedule with FSU traveling to Gainesville just two days after Thanksgiving.

Home Games: Charlotte, McNeese State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and FSU.

Away Games: Utah, Kentucky, South Carolina, LSU, and Missouri.

Neutral Site: Georgia

Florida has three straight home games once they return from Utah. I’m a fan of a heavy home schedule early in the season.

The hardest stretch of Florida’s schedule is from October 28th to November 11th. Florida plays Georgia, hosts Arkansas, and then goes on the road at LSU in three straight weeks.

I think Florida got the better end of the draw with the Utah series. Utah had to come to Gainesville when it was really hot, and Florida gets to travel to Salt Lake City when it’s not as cold.

Florida’s going to have cold games in Columbia, Missouri and Baton Rouge this season, with both of those games taking place in November.

Television Networks and game times will be available at a later date.
