The Florida Gators’ injury report ahead of the season opener against Ole Miss had good news and bad news.
Florida will be without starting center Ethan White on Saturday in Oxford, after the sophomore injured his knee during Florida’s second scrimmage of fall camp. The injury required surgery but Dan Mullen expects White to be able to return “shortly.”
White is taking the injury in stride and with a good sense of humor.

The injury news wasn’t as good for freshman cornerback Ethan Pouncey, who will miss the entire season after hip surgery. Pouncey posted a picture to his Instagram over the weekend on crutches following the surgery.
Florida will also be without Fenley Graham (broken arm) and Lamar Goods (foot strain).
