Denhoff loves the Swamp’s atmosphere for the win over Auburn

The Gators coaching staff hosted a lot of commits and 2020 prospects on Saturday but they also had a who’s who of 2021 prospects in the Swamp for the Auburn game.

2021 defensive end Cade Denhoff (6-4, 225, Lakeland, FL. Lakeland Christian School) was one of those guys on campus on Saturday and he liked the way the fans were involved.

“The visit was good,” Denhoff said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “I enjoyed it, I watched the Gator walk and watched warm-ups. I loved the atmosphere at the game.”

The atmosphere was something that caught Denhoff’s attention but the Gators defense also was something he noticed.

“I loved the atmosphere,” he said of the atmosphere in the Swamp on Saturday. “The fans were awesome and I loved the way Florida’s defense played.”

Denhoff didn’t get a chance to talk to the coaches after the game on Saturday but he did meet with one of Florida’s recruiting staff members who had a message for him.

“I talked to Coach [Todd] Grantham’s assistant Jonathan Herd Bond and I would’ve went into the locker room and talked to them but I had to leave,” Denhoff said on the coaches he talked to on Saturday. “He said thanks for coming up and asked me how my season is going and he told Coach Grantham wants like the way I rush and bend on the edge and I would play the jack position for them.”

Defensive coordinator Todd Grantham has also been staying in contact with Denhoff and letting him know the Gators want him.

“I talk to Coach Grantham weekly,” he said on his conversations with Grantham. “He usually wishes me good luck on game days and asks me how my week is going and how school is going.”

Denhoff who has over two dozen offers already says he has a lot of interest in the Gators because of a few reasons but mainly because of Dan Mullen.

“I have a lot of interest in Florida right now,” Denhoff said of his interest in Florida. “I really like what Coach Mullen is doing there, he really seems like a players coach.”
