DE Jayden Woods flips from Penn State to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators picked up their 20th commitment of the Class of 2025 on Friday and the fifth of the week.

Defensive lineman Jayden Woods (6-3, 240, Shawnee, KS. Mill Valley) flipped his commitment from Penn State to Florida.

“God’s Plan,” Woods said on Twitter.

Woods who had been committed to Penn State since June visited Gainesville last weekend and quickly put the Gators in contention.

The Gators have been in the need for an edge rusher in this class and now they got one in Woods who has 13 sacks the last two seasons.

Woods is also a winner as his team has won back to back state championships and are going for their third in a row this year.

Off the field, Woods also runs track and wrestles where he has won a state championship at in both sports. Woods won the state championship in discus and also ran 11.90 in the 100-meter dash.

The Gators have now flipped five prospects this week and he joins a defensive line class made up of Jalen Wiggins, Stephon Shivers, and Jeramiah McCloud.

Florida will now look to add one more defensive lineman in the class and that could come from the high school ranks or even from a portal transfer.
