Chamblee enjoys his Florida Gators virtual visit

Virtual visits have become the new normal for the last year and the Florida Gators have been hosting several virtual visits a day.

Offensive lineman Andrew Chamblee (6-6, 284, Maumelle, AR. High) took a virtual visit with the Gators last week and enjoyed the visit.

“It went well, I liked it, and my parents seemed to like it too,” Chamblee said on his virtual visit with Florida. “We got to see the campus, the facilities that are upcoming, talked to a lot of the coaches and the academic assistants. All of the coaching staff was on at one point in time and the energy was amazing.”

Offensive line coach John Hevesy explained to Chamblee just where he would play if he were to choose Florida for college.

“He said that I would really become an asset to the offense,” he said on Hevesy’s message to him. “I would play tackle and he says he loves the way I finish and the intensity I bring to the field.”

The relationship between Chamblee and Hevesy is developing and the offensive lineman likes the attitude of the entire coaching staff.

“We talk pretty much every day and the mindset he has with coaching is great,” Chamblee said on his relationship with Hevesy. “It was great getting to see him and they [the coaches] seem like really good, chill, and outgoing coaches.”

Now that Chamblee has taken a virtual visit with the Gators, he says his interest in Florida is high for a few reasons.

“It’s pretty high right now, I’d definitely say top 3,” he said on his interest in Florida. “I just like everything really, the coaches, the academics, and the style of Florida.”

Chamblee has a lot of schools coming after him and he’s still processing everything so a decision date hasn’t been set yet.

“I don’t know when I’ll be making a decision yet,” Chamblee said. “The top 7 I dropped and maybe two other schools are standing out to me right now.”
