Campbell likes several things about the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators have been offering a lot of underclassmen prospects the last few weeks and that continued last week.

2021 running back Brandon Campbell (5-10, 190 Rosenberg, TX. Lamar Consolidated) picked up an offer from the Gators last week when he talked to running backs coach Greg Knox.

“Coach Knox offered me,” Campbell said on which coach offered him. “He said he really liked my tape and the staff liked my tape. He said that they’re coming after me.”

Campbell now has 38 offers in his recruitment but he says the offer from Florida was a big one to him for several reasons.

“The offer means a lot to me because well the tradition speaks for itself,” he said on what the offer means to him. “They put out players in the league yearly and that’s goal of mine. I was very excited Florida is a nice place to be, plus I love going fishing and I have family out there.”

When Campbell talked to Knox last week, the Gators coach explained why Florida wanted to offer him.

“My versatility, my quickness but still being able to run with strength,” Campbell said on how Knox see him fitting into the offense. “He explained how I could be used in multiple spots but never got into much detail.”

Campbell knows a few things about the Gators program and he likes several things about Florida’s offense under Dan Mullen.

“I know about the tradition and I like the way their offense works for their running back,” he said on what he knows about Florida. “I like the offense and I can tell it’s very explosive with the right people and I can see myself playing in it and being a contributing piece.”

Next up for Campbell will be a visit to Gainesville, as he wants to see how things operate at Florida.

“Yes, I do plan to visit Florida,” Campbell said. “When I visit I just want to see the culture of the program and see their facilities and get a chance to talk to some of the players.”

The Gators have some serious competition for Campbell as several other big time programs are recruiting the running back hard.

“Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, TCU, Texas and also Purdue are recruiting me hard,” he said on other schools recruiting him hard.
