Bullard surprised by his recent Florida Gators offer

Last week, the Florida Gators handed out several new offers to underclassmen in the state of Florida as they continue to expand their recruiting board.

2023 running back Ryan Bullard (5-9, 175, Miami, FL. Killian) was one of those that picked up an offer from the Gators last week.

“I believe it was Coach [Greg] Knox and Coach [John] Herron,” Bullard said on which coach offered him. “I really didn’t speak to any coach, my coaches talked to them and let me know.”

Bullard was caught off guard by the news from the Gators as he didn’t believe the news from his coach.

“I was surprised, I didn’t believe it all, I thought my coach playing,” he said on what the offer means to him. “I realized he was serious and I was surprised. Florida has been a school that I’ve always loved.”

Running backs coach Greg Knox explained to Bullard why the Gators like his game and why they like his ability to play both sides of the ball.

“He said they like the way I’m a two way player and how I play hard on special teams, having four kick return touchdowns,” Bullard said on what Florida told his coach about him. “He likes me at running back because I can catch, run and block but honestly if down the road they think I’m a better safety then I’m going to play that.”

Bullard knows a good bit about the Gators program and he likes what Dan Mullen is doing what the program.

“I know Florida is a top collegiate program in the nation,” he said on what he knows and likes about Florida. “Coach Mullen has really changed Florida for the better and I know CJ Henderson, we played at Florida City park when I was on the pee wee team, he played in the 145 pound league.”

Next up for Bullard is taking some visits as his recruitment is just really getting going.

“I don’t have any leaders at the moment,” Bullard said. “Recruiting is just taking off and I’m going to take some visits.”
