Brown solid to the Florida Gators

On Saturday the Florida Gators blew out the Georgia Bulldogs on national T.V. and recruits were watching closely.

Florida Gators commit George Brown (6-6, 264, Cincinnati, OH Winton Woods) was one of those watching closely and he was impressed by the Gators effort.

“It was definitely nice to get a win against a big opponent like Georgia,” Brown said. “It was a great game to watch and I really liked the way they won the game. The running backs looked real nice the whole game and the offensive line played really good too.”

The offensive line was a big reason the Gators won and Brown credits offensive line coach Mike Summers for that improvement.

“I really like the way the offensive line has played this year a lot,” Brown said. “I talk to Coach Summers a lot and I think he’s teaching those guys really well and teaching them a lot of things. I believe in Coach Summers and what he’s doing down there.”

Brown says he talks to Summers weekly and the message has stayed the same since Brown committed in July.

“I really liked Coach Summers a lot, I actually talked to him Sunday morning a little bit,” Brown said. “He usually talks to me about how my season is going and how school is going. He’s ready for me to get back down there again. I’m going to back down there for an unofficial visit for the South Carolina game.”

When Brown heads to Gainesville in two weeks he plans to do some recruiting as he’s been sending a message to uncommitted guys as of late.

“I want to enjoy myself and hang out with some of the other commits and recruits,” Brown said. “I’ve been talking to CeCe Jefferson and Byron Cowart and a few other people about the season and my message to those guys is that they can make this class better.”

Brown has remained solid throughout the season and he’s says nothing has changed as he prepares for college life.

“I’m definitely 100 percent solid to Florida,” Brown said. “My season is over now so I’m going to get in the weight room and get ready for Florida.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Brown and Tyler Jordan are the lead recruiters in this class and both have remained solid to Florida despite the negative comments about Will Muschamp and the team.
