Brown ready to sign with the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators had several commits on campus this past weekend to help them recruit the three non commits that were on official visits.

Defensive tackle commit Johnnie Brown (6-2, 250, Tampa, FL. Sebring) was on campus and says the visit was no different than the ones he has taken to Gainesville before.

“It was pretty cool, the same thing basically,” Brown said of his visit to Florida. “They always, it’s no different they always treat me the same so it’s no difference. It’s always the same type of energy.”

The Gators coaching staff has talked to Brown about finishing school strong and then getting to Florida.

“Right now we’re just focusing on finishing up on everything,” he said on the coach’s message to him. “So when I do get there we can focus on sports and academics too.”

Defensive line coach David Turner also explained to Brown just how the Gators would move him around on defense.

“Basically they want me to move around,” Brown said on where Florida wants him to play. “Switching me around on third down and stuff like that.”

Next up for Brown will be putting pen to paper and becoming a Gator officially and that will happen this week.

“I’m signing in the [Wednesday] morning,” he said. “I’m very excited, I get to play with my brothers.”
