Britt solid to the Florida Gators but planning official visits

The Florida Gators coaching staff had the south endzone packed on Saturday night to watch the Gators blow out Florida State in the Swamp.

Athlete commit Marc Britt (6-2, 190, Miami, FL. Miami Christian School) was one of those in attendance on Saturday night and he enjoyed the visit.

“The game was great and so hyped,” Britt said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “I didn’t get to do much really, I got to the game just in time for kickoff but I enjoyed my time there and I can’t wait to start my chapter as being a Gator.”

This was the first time for Britt to be in the Swamp since he committed and he liked the atmosphere the fans created on Saturday night.

“The atmosphere was amazing,” he said. “I love how the fans get me so hyped and the game was great. They did not play around with them people.”

After the game was over, Britt had the chance to talk to the coaching staff and head coach Dan Mullen had a message for him.

“I talked to Coach Brian [Johnson] and Coach [Dan] Mullen,” Britt said of the coaches he talked to on Saturday. “Coach Mullen was just saying he can’t wait to have me on campus grinding for them.”

Quarterbacks coach and area recruiter Brian Johnson also spoke with Britt after the win over Florida State.

“He said he can’t wait to see me working and for me to stay being a great young man in life,” he said on the message from Brian Johnson. “He didn’t really say where he wants me to play but as I always say, it don’t matter where you guys put me, I’m going to give it my all for the team.”

Next up for Britt will be official visits but he’s still trying to work out dates for his visits.

“It was supposed to be December 7th but I test that day so I’m not sure yet,” Britt said on when he plans to take his official visit to Florida. “I’m going to try and take other visits to Nebraska, LSU and Penn State.”

Despite possibly taking other visits, Britt says he remains solidly committed to Florida and the Gators plan to visit him this week at his school.

“I’m 1000% committed but I won’t be signing until February,” he said. “Coach Brian said he’s coming to see me on Tuesday but I’m not sure who else is coming with him.”
