The Florida Gators had one signee and one commit on campus to join the six other targets this weekend for official visits.
Safety commit Marc Britt (6-1, 180, Miami, FL. Miami Christian School) was on campus and even did some recruiting for the Gators.
“I had a great time, me and my family came and had fun,” Britt said of his official visit to Florida. “I had fun, it was great, the players want me here bad. I was talking to Tae [Williams], he said he liked it here.”
The Gators coaching staff talked to him about needing him in Gainesville and Dan Mullen will now visit him this week.
“We just talked about getting me on campus, they can’t wait until I start here,” he said of the message from the coaches. “Stuff like that, they’re coming Wednesday to see me again.”
Mullen and the rest of the coaching staff broke down where they want Britt to play as the athlete says it doesn’t matter which side of the ball he plays.
“Safety,” Britt said on where Florida wants him to play. “I just got to do what I got to do, there’s no problem doing it. Offense or defense, I just do it. I think I can do it, it’s football.”
Despite having a good visit to Gainesville, two other SEC teams are trying to get Britt on campus for official visits.
“I didn’t set it up yet but it’s supposed to be LSU and Ole Miss,” he said on other visits. “Hopefully LSU this week like Thursday/Friday and Ole Miss.”
Three teams are left in the mix for Britt but the safety commit says he knows where he’s going to school at next year.
“It’s just Florida, LSU and Ole Miss now,” Britt said of teams remaining in the mix for him. “It’s great, I’m coming here [Florida], you just got to get these trips in.”
