Britt ready to commit between two schools including the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators have filled a lot of holes in the 2020 recruiting but the coaching staff is still trying to add more safeties to the class.

One guy that the Gators are looking at to fill that void is athlete Marc Britt (6-2, 190, Miami, FL. Miami Christian School) who says he talks to Florida a lot.

“Florida is recruiting me very hard,” Britt said of the Gators. “I talk to them mostly every week.”

Quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson is the main recruiter for Britt and he has talked to Britt about what the Gators like in his game.

“I talk to Coach Brian [Johnson] the most,” he said on the coach he talks to from Florida. “He’s always saying that he likes the way I play on both sides of the ball and that he wants me.”

Johnson has explained to Britt just where the Gators see him playing at if he was to choose Florida for college.

“He says safety and some time wide receiver,” Britt said on where the Gators see him playing. “I think safety will be fun, I would have no problem playing it and they have a big need at safety.”

Britt has watched the Gators defense closely this year and he feels like what Todd Grantham runs would fit his playing style.

“I think the defense is doing great,” he said on his thoughts on Florida’s defense. “They play hard and I think I would be a good fit for what they do.”

The athlete plans to make a decision soon as Britt says he will pick between two schools in two weeks.

“I’m committing on November 1st,” Britt said on when he will make a decision. “It’s going to be between Penn State and Florida but I will still do my official visits afterwards.”

When it’s time for Britt to make his decision, the athlete knows what will ultimately help him pick one school.

“Who ever is coming after me the hardest,” he said on what will make him choose one school over the other. “I’m looking at the love that they’re showing me.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Britt doesn’t sign or enroll early so his recruitment will likely continue on after his commitment on November 1st.
