Big names to visit the Florida Gators on Saturday

The Florida Gators will once again host prospects on campus for spring practice on Saturday as the Gators will go through practice number four.

Billy Napier and his coaching staff have done a great job of getting prospects on campus so far this spring and that will continue on Saturday when several big-name prospects are scheduled to visit town.

Headlining this weekend’s group will be one of the Gators’ top commits in the class who has been on campus since Thursday.

GatorCountry brings you a look at this weekend’s visitors list as the Gators welcome prospects into town.

Linebacker commit to visit

Linebacker commit Myles Graham has been on campus a lot and he has been on campus since Thursday visiting with new defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong. Graham has been solid with the Gators since committing and he has been a big recruiter for the staff.

Defensive side well represented

The Gators will have several top prospects on campus on the defensive side of the ball and headlining that group will be safety Xavier Filsaime who visited Florida on Friday as well. The Texas native has family in Florida as the safety was born and raised for several years in the state. The Gators are looking to gain momentum with Filsaime this weekend.

Safety Brandon Jacob will make the short drive up from Orlando on Saturday as the Gators have been recruiting the safety hard as of late. Florida State is also involved with Jacob but Florida hopes new defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong can get the Gators some momentum.

UCF defensive line commit Sincere Edwards doesn’t currently have an offer from the Gators but he’s someone that the staff has been in contact with and are monitoring his progress this spring.

Defensive lineman D’Antre Robinson will join his Orlando teammate Jacob this weekend on the trip. Robinson was on campus several times last fall and in January and has the Gators very high in his recruitment early on. Robinson has developed a great relationship with defensive line coach Sean Spencer.

Defensive lineman Jamonta Waller will make the trip from Mississippi on Saturday. Waller has never visited Gainesville before, so Saturday is a big trip for the defensive end. Mike Peterson has been the main recruiter for Waller to this point.

Top offensive talent to visit

Not to be overshadowed by the defensive side of the ball, the offensive side of the ball will also have several top prospects on campus. Offensive lineman Fletcher Westphal will make the trip from Virginia on Saturday. Westphal has visited Florida last fall and likes the Gators and is continuing to build a relationship with Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton.

Running back Micah Welch has been talking with running backs coach Jabbar Juluke a lot lately as the Gators are looking for a second running back to pair with Chauncey Bowens in the class. The Georgia native has mentioned that he likes the Gators and wants to learn more about them during the visit.

Receiver Cai Bates doesn’t haven offer from Florida yet but he’s a guy who has picked up several offers as of late and has the Gators attention. This will be the first time for Bates to be on campus and meet the coaching staff.

Underclassmen to visit Florida

Joining the impressive group of 2024 prospects on Saturday will be several underclassmen including two top 2025 prospects. The following guys are scheduled to be on campus.

2025 offensive lineman David Sanders

2025 defensive lineman Armondo Blount

2025 defensive lineman London Merritt

2027 quarterback Trent Seaborn
