Bell breaks down his Florida Gators offer

The Florida Gators have sent out a few offers over the last few days and that continued on Sunday.

2020 athlete Jaheim Bell (6-3, 204, Valdosta, GA. High) picked up an offer from area recruiter John Hevesy on Sunday afternoon.

“Coach Hevesy offered me,” Bell said on which coach from Florida offered him on Sunday. “He really didn’t say much but he just texted me and said good morning and that I have an offer to be a Florida Gator.”

Bell is in the process of building a relationship with the Florida Gators and he thinks that the relationship is coming along now that he has the offer.

“I wouldn’t say a lot but we’ve been talking,” he said on his relationship with Florida. “I talked to Coach Hevesy mainly but also I’ve been talking to Coach [Billy] Gonzales too.”

The Gators haven’t really gotten into details with Bell about where Florida wants him to play but he thinks they want him on offense.

“We haven’t really talked about that much,” Bell said on where Florida wants him to play. “It has been slow but it’s picking up. I think they like me at receiver.”

The Georgia athlete plays both sides of the ball in high school but Bell says he prefers one side of the ball.

“I want to play on the offensive side of the ball,” Bell said on where he prefers. “I want to play receiver and that’s what most schools are recruiting me at.”

Bell has visited Gainesville several times in the past and he thinks the Gators are heading in the right direction.

“It means a lot, Florida is a big time school,” he said on what the offer means to him. “I have a lot of interest in them, they’re trying to get back to winning a national championship.”

The Gators aren’t the only school recruiting Bell hard as several other SEC schools are after the Georgia athlete.

“Alabama, South Carolina and Virginia Tech,” Bell said on the schools are recruiting him hard.

INSIDERS TAKE: Bell said he plans to visit Florida this spring but he isn’t sure of an exact date on when he plans to visit.
