Belfort knows he wanted by the Florida Gators’ coaching staff

While the 2023 class has 20 commits in the class already, the Florida Gators coaching staff has started focusing a lot on the 2024 class already.

On Saturday, several top 2024 prospects were in the Swamp including 2024 quarterback Davi Belfort (5-11, 175, Miami, FL. Gulliver Prep) who enjoyed the game and talked to one of the Gators’ analyst.

“I talked to Coach [Ryan] O’Hara after the game,” Belfort said on who he talked to while on campus on Saturday. “He was just like that’s the environment they want and the type of energy that they want every single game. Just how I can be there and how he can see me there.”

Belfort knew that quarterback Anthony Richardson was a good player but the 2024 prospect was impressed by how good he played on Saturday.

“That man is surreal,” he said on Richardson’s play. “He’s a top quarterback in this year’s draft class, he’s a great quarterback. I was amazed at how he played.”

Last week was a big week for 2024 prospects as coaches are now able to contact these prospects and Belfort says several schools have already contacted him.

“A lot of schools reached out to me, it was a cool moment for me,” Belfort said on the schools who talked to him since September 1st. “The schools showing a lot of interest and pushing the most are Florida, Penn State, Tennessee, Alabama, Michigan State, and a few others. Those are the schools that are on me hard.”

Next up for Belfort will be several other visits to other schools and the Gators may get him back on campus again this year.

“I’m definitely going to commit after the season and before my senior season,” he said on when he wants to make a decision. “I’m going to the Penn State white-out game, I’m going to Alabama for the Texas A&M game and I’m going to the Michigan State game against Minnesota. Maybe I’ll come back for the LSU game.”
