Florida running back Jadan Baugh, wide receiver Vernell Brown III, and edge Jayden Woods were named to the preseason All-SEC teams by media members covering SEC Media Days in Tampa this week.
Baugh was selected to the second team at running back and the third team as an all-purpose player, while Brown III earned third-team honors as a return specialist and Woods was named to the third team as a defensive lineman.
Jadan Baugh – Second Team, All-Purpose
Baugh enters his junior season after rushing for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 5.3 yards per carry in 2025, earning second-team All-SEC honors at the end of the season. He became the first Florida running back to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards since Kelvin Taylor in 2015. Baugh also enters 2026 as the program’s first returning 1,000-yard rusher since Errict Rhett in 1992.
The 6-foot-1, 228-pound running back ranked No. 37 on Pro Football Focus’ list of the top 50 players entering the 2026 season.
Vernell Brown III – Return Specialist
The 5-foot-11, 177-pound receiver excelled as a punt returner in 2025, averaging 11.7 yards per return, which ranked 18th nationally. He was one of just two freshmen and 18 FBS players to record five punt returns of 20 or more yards.
A Freshman All-SEC selection in 2025, Brown III also led the team with 40 receptions and 512 receiving yards in 10 games.
Jayden Woods – Third Team
As a true freshman in 2025, Woods recorded 28 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 5.0 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one interception across 448 snaps, the most among Florida defensive linemen last season.
Woods became the first Florida true freshman since Johnnie Church in 1992 to lead or co-lead the team in sacks.
