Bah has high praise for the Florida Gators following his UF offer

The offensive line class for 2021 is pretty much done for the Florida Gators so the coaching staff is starting to focus on building the 2022 class.

Last week, the Gators offered 2022 offensive lineman Aliou Bah (6-6, 325, Memphis, TN. Whitehaven) who spoke to two Florida coaches.

“Coach [John] Hevesy, the offensive line coach did,” Bah said on the coach from Florida who offered him. “We’ve been talking for awhile, I actually was talking to the defensive line coach, Coach [David] Turner at first and then he got me connected with Coach Hevesy. Coach Hevesy got a chance to review my film and he loved it and wanted to offer me.”

Bah didn’t expect to receive an offer after talking to Hevesy for the first time but he was happy to receive an offer from the Gators who thinks highly of.

“It meant a lot, I was shocked I thought it would come a little bit later,” he said on what the offer means to him. “Florida is a great program both athletically and academically. Academics are something that I take very serious especially when I make a decision, plus they play in the best conference with the best competition.”

Offensive line coach John Hevesy explained to Bah exactly what the Gators like about his game.

“We didn’t talk about a position but I’m sure it will come up,” Bah said on where Hevesy sees him playing. “He told me that I was big and nasty and I finished my blocks and pancaked people. I do what offensive lineman should be doing and I have good feet and good hands.”

Bah knows a good bit about Florida’s program and he thinks the Gators are a team on the rise under Dan Mullen.

“Florida is a great program, Coach [Dan] Mullen has them on the road to a national championship,” he said on what he knows about Florida. “They’re competing in the best conference, they had Tim Tebow and a lot of great players come through there.”

Next up, Bah wants to get down to Gainesville to visit and meet the coaching staff as he has high praise for Gainesville.

“I can’t wait to Gainesville, as soon as things open they’re one of the first places I want to visit,” Bah said on his interest in Florida. “Florida is beautiful and they’re top in resources and stuff.”
