Ausberry enjoys the game day experience with the Florida Gators

Prospects from all over the southeast were in Gainesville for the Florida Gators big game against Alabama two weeks ago.

2023 linebacker Jaiden Ausberry (6-2, 205, Baton Rouge, LA. University Lab) made the trip to Gainesville and was impressed by the energy inside the Swamp.

“It was loud, it was real crazy,” Ausberry said of the visit to Florida for the Alabama game. “Especially since they were playing Alabama, I think the team played well, especially coming back from 21-3. They played really well.”

Linebackers coach Christian Robinson has been the main contact for Ausberry and the two talk regularly.

“I talk to Coach [Christian] Robinson the most,” he said on the coach he talks to the most from Florida. “He really likes my character and the way I play. I talk to him pretty much every week, the main thing he talks about is my character.”

While on the visit, Ausberry watched the Gators defense and the linebackers closed and he was impressed by the play against Alabama.

“I think they played well,” Ausberry said on how the linebackers played against Alabama. “Alabama has a good running back core, even though they were getting some long runs they still held it down and only let them score 10 points in the last half.”

Alabama and Florida are two teams battling for Ausberry and he admits it will be a battle after watching them two in person.

“I think it’s going to be real battle,” he said of seeing two of his top teams in person. “I’m still trying to go to all of the campuses and see what the game day atmosphere is like. Those are definitely two schools I like.”

Next up for Ausberry is plenty of visits as he wants to get to as many schools as possible before committing.

“I’m supposed to be going to some more games this year,” Ausberry said on other visits. “Pretty much everyone in my top 10, I’m trying to get to them. I’m probably going to commit next summer.”
