Adams is “very high” on the Florida Gators following Tuesday’s offer

Tuesday was a busy day for the Florida Gators coaching staff as they offered several prospects from Louisiana and Texas.

Offensive lineman Tyree Adams (6-5, 285, New Orleans, LA. St. Augustine) was one of those guys who picked up an offer on Tuesday.

“It was Coach [Rob] Sale,” Adams said on the coach from Florida who offered him on Tuesday. “The main thing he told me was they like my film and it would be great for me to be a Gator.”

Adams has been talking to Sale and running backs coach Jabbar Juluke the last few weeks, but he was excited to pick up the offer on Tuesday.

“It means a lot coming from the South, I know a lot about Florida and the coaches,” he said about what the offer means to him. “I have been in contact with them but with every offer, it’s a shock, but I’m just blessed to be in this position.”

Offensive line coach Rob Sale explained to Adams just how he would fit into the offense in Gainesville if he picked Florida.

“He sees me as a tackle for how long my arms are and standing at 6-6,” Adams said on the message from Sale. “He likes how athletic I am and how I use my length is really beneficial to the program.”

Adams has known Juluke for several years now and that relationship has continued since he arrived at Florida

“I have a great relationship with him even from the University of Louisiana,” he said about his relationship with Jabbar Juluke. “He loves me as a player and wants me in the Swamp.”

Now that Adams has an offer from Florida, he plans to visit Florida soon and has a high interest in the Gators.

“My interest level is very high,” Adams said on his interest in Florida. “I love that they’re known to win and put players in the NFL. I will visit sometime in April.”

The Gators aren’t the only school recruiting Adams hard as two of Florida’s rivals are hard after the lineman.

“LSU, FSU, and Mississippi State,” he said on other schools recruiting him hard.
