Softball takes game two from Aggies

The game came down to the bottom of the seventh with the game knotted at 2-2. With one out, senior Lauren Roussell (Cerritos, Calif.) took the seventh pitch offered her over the video screen in left field to give the Gatord the 3-2 victory. The Aggies got on the board first in the top of the first inning, as two runs scored on a Jami Lobpries double.

Florida scored a run in the bottom of the third as sophomore Kristina Hilberth (Dunedin, Fla.) scored on a Roussell ground out to short.

The Gators tied the game as Hilberth scored her second run of the game on a sophomore Kim Waleszonia (Fontana, Calif.) base hit to left in the fifth inning.

Sophomore Stacey Nelson earned the win to improve to 34-14 on the year. Reliever Amanda Scarborough took the loss for Texas A&M to move to 25-8 on the year.

Game three of the series begins in 20 minutes. It will air on ESPNU immediately following the third game of the Tennessee versus Hawaii series in Knoxville.
