Offensive leaders

Junior Kayli Kvistad is on here because she had the game-winning hit against FSU on Wednesday night. Kvistad also picked up her 49th walk of the season and that ties her for the single-season record for walks.

Pitching

Tim Walton and Florida Gators softball pitching coach Jennifer Rocha threw only two of the Gators pitchers this past week. Walton used the duo of Gourley and Barnhill to defeat FSU and then used those two against Kentucky this past weekend.

Sophomore Kelly Barnhill is completely in control of things of right now is unhittable in the circle. In 16 innings pitched, Barnhill had 32 strikeouts and didn’t allow a run while also throwing a no-hitter on Sunday against Kentucky.

Senior Delanie Gourley pitched five shutout innings against FSU before being relieved by Barnhill on Wednesday. In total Gourley threw 11 innings but gave up five runs against Kentucky to take the loss.

Player of the week

Sophomore Kelly Barnhill was one walk away from throwing a perfect game against Kentucky on Sunday but that doesn’t take away from the impressive week she had. Barnhill has only given up three runs on the year and is average close to two strikeouts an inning.
