Florida Gators soccer predicted to win SEC title

Special report on the Florida Gators soccer team:

Birmingham, Ala. – Florida was predicted to win to the 2017 Southeastern Conference women’s soccer title in voting by the league’s 14 head coaches. This marks the 19th time that the Gators have been tabbed by the coaches to win the title.

South Carolina is ranked fourth in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Rankings while Florida is seventh, Auburn 1­0th and Arkansas 17th.

Points were compiled on a 13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis, though each coach was not allowed to vote for their own team.

The 25th season of women’s soccer in the SEC season begins August 18.
