What the Gators Said:
Florida was coming off a loss. What was the team focusing on today?
"We talked about resilience and having the ability to bounce back. We also tried to divide the first half into two halves, with the goal to be to win both of those halves. There was a pretty big emphasis on winning the period.

"We wanted to keep possession. We really wanted to work on that but we also wanted to continue to score. My only disappointment in the game is that we didn't win each of the periods. The second two we didn't win. But in terms of it being a terrific team effort, we played a lot of people today and got a shutout. Those two things were really important for us as well." - Florida head coach Becky Burleigh

Kaylan Marckese made the stop on a penalty kick. How important was that stop?
"It was a big save. Preserving the shutout was important so we were excited that she got the stop. It just gives her another experience." - Florida head coach Becky Burleigh

There were a lot of players used today, many who were making their first collegiate appearance.
"I thought some people had been doing really well in practice so we knew we wanted to get some people in the game. But we had to wait until the opportunity presented itself and it certainly did with the fast start

"I'm sure there were some nerves, especially for the first timers, but the returners do a good job of once they are in the game, communicating a lot and making sure they are comfortable as soon as they get in.

"I don't think they ever stopped attacking the goal; they were pretty relentless. We had some great serves into the box and I thought the Jacksonville keeper did a good job of keeping the ball out of the net in the second half." - Florida head coach Becky Burleigh
