Former Florida Gators Garcia & Brown Moving Forward

One week down, 14 to go.

As former Florida Gators offensive linemen Max Garcia and Trenton Brown walked away from Ladd Peebles Stadium on Saturday evening, it was with an extra dose of confidence.

The week of the Reese’s Senior Bowl is full of practices, interviews and skill test. After five days of that intense scrutiny, Garcia and Brown tell Gator Country that they both feel great about the work they did in Mobile, Alabama and even more encouraged about moving forward with their path to the NFL draft.

Brown was unable to play in the game, which cumulated the week’s activities. He suffered some bangs and bruises from the Thursday practice and didn’t want to risk any injury during game time, but says he felt confident enough with his practice to sit Saturday out.

As for position placement, Brown practiced at every spot along the offensive line but center, and was told by scouts that this would be the standard for workouts.

Garcia spent the entire week at center, due mostly to limited numbers, but was told the same by scouts.

Gator Country was there in Mobile to catch up with both Garcia and Brown following Saturday’s game to hear more on their thoughts as they take the next step towards their dream.
