After having a huge impact in the NFL in the first few weeks of the season, former Florida Gators had a much smaller impact in Week 4 of the NFL season.
Wide receiver Percy Harvin had arguably the biggest week of any former Florida player, racking up five catches for 42 yards and four carries for 67 yards while returning one kickoff for 25 yards.
Jabar Gaffney had a solid game for the Washington Redskins, tallying four catches for 62 yards. Quarterback Rex Grossman completed 15-of-29 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown for the Redskins while throwing one interception.
A handful of Florida offensive linemen played, as Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey picked up his fourth straight start to begin his career. His brother, Maurkice, made his 20th consecutive regular-season start for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Oakland Raiders guard Cooper Carlisle made his 106th career start.
A pair of Florida safeties had pretty good numbers this weekend. Cincinnati Bengals safety Reggie Nelson continued his career revival in Cincinnati, racking up seven tackles over the weekend.
Safety Major Wright returned to the starting lineup for the Chicago Bears after missing Week 3 with an injury. Wright made six tackles for the Bears.
New England Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes had one of his best games of the season, racking up six tackles in a win over the Oakland Raiders.
Finally, Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow saw action again, but he failed to record a stat in Denver’s loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Several other former Florida players contributed to their teams’ efforts over the weekend. You can find a complete listing of all their stats below.
Gator Country thanks Mike Gibbs (u8evol19i) for his contributions compiling the stats of former Gators in the NFL.
