Gainesville, Fla. – University of Florida wide receiver/quarterback Jarred Fayson underwent surgery at the Florida Surgical Center Thursday morning.
The surgery performed by team physician Dr. Pete Indelicato, removed bone chips in Fayson’s left knee. Fayson is expected to recover in three to five weeks.
Fayson (Tampa, Fla.) carried the ball 14 times in 2006 for 126 yards
(9.0 avg.) and had one reception for one yard. He ran the ball a career-best seven times for a personal-high 77 yards and scored his first career touchdown on an eight-yard run against Western Carolina.
