RECRUITING: Williams rates UF a “10”

Northeast High School running back Bo Williams was in Gainesville this weekend. With his final visit to Pittsburgh coming this weekend, Williams plans to make a decision sometime after his return. With a week left until his decision, Williams shares where his current four schools stand.

“It was a great visit,” he said. “The coaches and everyone were just so nice. They had some nice stuff too, like facilities.”

Williams spoke very highly of two current Florida freshmen that he grew close with this weekend.

“My host was Jamar Hornsby. I really liked him and he was a great guy,” he said. “We hung out in his dorm a lot and just talked.

“Mon Williams and I got really close too,” Williams said. “He’s a great guy, and really had nothing negative to say about Florida. He was a very highly recruited running back out of high school too, so he knows what this process is like right now. He wants me at Florida as bad as anyone.”

The four-star running back was also happy about the time he spent with Coach Urban Meyer.

”I got in a little late, it was on Saturday night,” he said. “When I got there, my family and I ate dinner with the Meyer family at their house. They were very welcoming. Then I hung out with Jamar (Hornsby). It was cool, just a chill night.”

The 6-0, 205 pound running back was very impressed by the academics presentation he saw.

“Sunday was focused on academics,” he said. “It was great, they had pretty much everything. I want to major in exercise physiology, and got to see what that program at Florida was all about.”

Williams was also excited about the enthusiasm he saw on the Florida campus, even on a weekend.

“I got a tour of the school Sunday too, and then hung out with more of the players,” said Williams, who just finished his senior year in Oakland Park, Florida. “I liked how all the people loved on me.

“Everyone knew who I was and supported me. People were all saying “Come join us at the swamp, Bo! We want you!”

Williams spent Sunday night establishing better relationships with current Florida players.

“Sunday night I got to hang out with the players some more,” Williams said. “Some of us went out to eat, but they couldn’t stay out too late because they had exams on Monday.

Williams beamed about the relationships he currently has established with Gator coaches.

“Monday morning before I left I had breakfast with Coach Meyer and Coach Holliday. I just love Coach Meyer. He is such a great guy, very energetic and outspoken too. I like how passionate he is,” Williams avidly declared.

“Coach Drayton and I got to be tight, too,” he said of his possible future position coach. “I went to his house for a little bit and it was crazy. I forgot it was a business trip, I felt like I was on vacation I was having so much fun. He let me check stuff on his computer and all that. I felt like I was at my house most of the time.”

As far as his overall visit, Williams knows how he will look back on it.

“I would rate this visit as a 10 for sure,” he said. “It was great, everything I was expecting and more.”

Bo Williams also updated the larger picture of his recruitment. He also claims that a decision will come soon.

“I haven’t made up my mind yet on where I’m going to school, he shared. “I’m still looking at Florida, Florida State, Pittsburgh, and Nebraska. I’m going to Pittsburgh this Friday for my visit. I will probably decide when I get back from Pittsburgh some time next week.”
