Recruiting Mailbag

Q.) Is Jarran Reed still solid or is he opening up his recruitment?

A.) He opened up his recruitment. I’m not sure how much Florida is actually pushing for him at this time with the two other JUCO lineman expected to officially visit this weekend.

Q.) Is Ira Denson going to go back to high school so Florida can continue recruiting him?! Please respond ASAP! SUPER IMPORTANT!

A.) You have now officially become a part of GatorCountry with that question. LOL

Q.) Any news on Anthony Davis out of Chamberline High School in Tampa? I heard that this guy is a sleeper and had an impressive camp.

A.) I haven’t heard too much on him honestly. He’s a guy that could be looked at down the road though.

Q.) Who is the most important prospect we need to land?

A.) In my opinion Will Grier because after Jeff Driskel, the quarterback position is shaky.

Q.) What are our chances for getting Andrew Brown?

A.) Not good right now but if he visits anything can happen but I honestly don’t even seeing him visiting Florida.

Q.) Big news out of Hand camp today, any idea what it is? Wasn’t he suppose to be visiting UF this weekend?

A.)He now has a top 3 consisting of Michigan, Alabama and Florida and yes he was, but he will now visit later this summer.

Q.) Who do you think will be our next?

A.) Barring something happening this week, the next prospect to announce should be Delroy Baker, the offensive lineman.

Q.) As of today, any big time recruits coming to FNL? How many commitments should we expect at FNL?

A.) Without me checking with each prospect yet, the ones who have mentioned coming are Ermon Lane, Quincy Wilson, Dalvin Cook and Khairi Clark.

Q.) How’s are we looking with KD Cannon? What defensive end/buck prospects are we looking in the best position for right now? I read on an enemy board that someone who talked to him believes right now we are the team to beat for Adoree Jackson, have you heard anything? Could we possibly pull Jackson and Jalen Tabor?

A.) Florida trails A&M and Baylor for Cannon right now but he is close with Jamal Adams. Trent Harris, Christian Miller and Richard Yeargin are all BUCK prospects. I agree with that the sense I have gotten from Jackson is he wants to play in the South and with a good track team which sets up well for Florida. Yes, I think it’s a strong possibility.

Q.) AS, How are we looking for some of our top LB targets such as Clifton Garrett, Yearby (not sure if he’s a top LB for us), and others?

A.) I think you mean Yeargin but Florida is in OK shape with him. With Clifton Garrett, Florida will get a visit from him soon and that should help things with him.

Q.) Any update on wide receivers and do you think we land any big time receivers in this class?

A.) Yes I think Florida will land a top receiver in this class. Artavis Scott, Ermon Lane, Travis Rudolph and Josh Malone all plan to visit Florida this summer.

Q.) How are we looking for Speedy Noil?

A.) Florida is in his top 3 but I believe LSU still leads for him.

Q.) Does Hand have visits set for his 3?

A.)Nothing set in stone right now.

Q.) Any updates on Keyon Brown/Hardee Sr. High?

A.)Nothing yet, he may visit for Friday Night Lights.

Q.) Andrew, can you post marqui hawkins highlights.I can’t find them anywhere.

A.) http://www.hudl.com/athlete/607209/highlights/10728376

Q.) Who is left on the OL board and what are our chances for each?

A.)David Sharpe-pretty good chance, Denzel Ward-pretty good chance, Isaiah Wynn-needs to visit again, Delroy Baker-great chance.
