Every Monday Gator Country presents the Prep Rewind with scores and stats that from the weekend’s high school games that involved Florida commitments and targets.

Week six player of the week: Will Grier

Here are the stats and scores from the past weekend:

Philadelphia (Pa.) Martin Luther King offensive lineman Dontae Angus

Result: MLK notched its third win of the year with a 34-6 win over Abraham Lincoln on Friday.

Casper (WY.) Natrona County defensive end Taven Bryan

Result: Natrona County moved to 3-2 on the year, defeating defeated Evanston 38-6 on Friday night.

Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna defensive tackle Khairi Clark

Result: American Heritage had a bye week.

Miami (Fla.) Central running back Dalvin Cook

Result: Central had a bye week.

Cross City (Fla.) Dixie County cornerback Duke Dawson

Result: Dixie County was scheduled to take on Faith Baptist Christian, which no longer has a team. Bye week for Dixie County.

Result: Raines had a bye week.

Davidson (N.C.) Day quarterback Will Grier

Result: Davidson Day defeated Marvin Ridge 45-0 to move to 6-0 on the year.

Stats: Grier threw for 410 yards and 7 touchdowns and also added 130 yards rushing in Davidson Day’s big win.

Immokalee (Fla.) High cornerback J.C. Jackson

Result: Immokalee defeated Gulf Coast 35-14 on Friday night.

Stats: Jackson had 45 yards rushing and also added 219 yards receiving including three touchdowns in Immokalee’s win.

Mount Pleasant (S.C.) Wando offensive lineman Nolan Kelleher

Result: Wando lost to For Dorchester 41-13 to fall to 2-4 on the year.

Result: Homestead defeated Killian 19-7 on Friday night to go to 3-2 on the year.

Stats: Lane had an interception in the game but did not catch a pass for the third straight game.

Tuscaloosa (Al.) Kingwood Christian tight end C’yontai Lewis

Result: Kingwood Christian defeated Evangel Christian Academy 33-0 on Friday night to go to 5-1 on the year.

Stats: Lewis did not have any catches in Kingwood’s win.

Clearwater (Fla.) Central Catholic defensive end Justus Reed

Result: Central Catholic defeated Trinity Catholic 38-14 to go to 4-1 on the year.

Stats: Reed had eight tackles and a sack in the win.

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University cornerback Quincy Wilson

Result: University School beat Boyd Anderson 50-0 on Friday Night.

Stats: Wilson had an interception in University’s win.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting.
