NC teammates enjoy Florida visit

Teamates and best friends Rhaheim Ledbetter (5-11/180) and DL Jonathan Bullard (6-4/255) from Crest High School in Shelby, NC visited Florida for Junior Day and both said the visit went really well.

Ledbetter a safety prospect and Bullard a defensive tackle prospect both arrived on Thursday. The players took a tour of the school, attended coaches meetings, and watched practice while on their trip to Gainesville.

“It was great. I’ve never seen a place like it. I could really get used to that,” Ledbetter said.

After visiting Clemson, UNC, and South Carolina, Ledbetter said so far Florida is his favorite, but he doesn’t know about committing yet. He still has Auburn and Alabama left to visit.

The fact that Brandon Spikes, Ledbetter’s cousin, attended Florida, has a big influence on his decision.

“Well of course, that’s my cousin, you know how that is,” he said.

Ledbetter said he calls Durkin every Friday to keep in touch with what’s going on at UF.

Both Ledbetter and Bullard said they don’t plan on separating after high school.

“Oh yeah, no doubt, we’re going to the same school. We’re best friends. He’s like my brother,” Bullard said.

Bullard likes North Carolina, Virginia, and Auburn, but according to Bullard, he received an offer from Florida about a month ago, and Muschamp told him he could be a missing piece to the team.

Although Bullard said he’s still open, Ledbetter made it seem like he was swaying the duo.

“Bullard liked Florida too, and we’re going to the same school, so that helps out,” Ledbetter said.

Bullard said he plans to take an official visit to Florida, but he is not sure when that will be.

There is no timetable on when the Crest duo will make their final decision.
