Gators Recruiting: Coaches visits 1.16

The Gators coaching staff once again had a busy day on Tuesday as it made stops in Georgia, Tennessee  and Florida to see prospects from all classes.

Here is who the coaches visited.

Florida head coach Will Muschamp and tight end coach Derek Lewis went in-home with Winter Haven running back Adam Lane.

Muschamp and Lewis visited 2015 Lakeland (Fla.) Lakeland Christian quarterback Christian Alexander.

Both coaches also visited 2015 Lakeland (Fla.) Lakeland Christian running back T.J. Simmons.

Muschamp visited 2014 Mulberry (Fla.) Mulberry senior offensive lineman Dwayne Williams.

Muschamp, Lewis, defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and cornerbacks coach Travaris Robinson went in-home with Tampa (Fla.) Wharton cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III.

Offensive coordinator Brent Pease went in-home with Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy quarterback Max Staver.

Defensive line coach Bryant Young visited 2014 Crestview (Fla.) High defensive end Denzel Ware at his basketball game.

Receivers coach Joker Phillips visited Columbus (Ga.) Carver receiver Marqui Hawkins.

Phillips also visited 2015 Columbus (Ga.) Carver defensive end Mekhi Brown.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
