On Friday the Florida Gators coaching staff will be hitting the road recruiting as the Gators have a bye week on the football field.
Florida’s coaches are expected to visit a number of top targets around the country on Friday night for high schools games but during the day they will also visit a number of other targets including some underclassmen prospects that the Florida Gators are high on.
The following list is just a brief list of whom the coaches are expected to visit and this list could change and also more names could be added so make sure to stay tuned to the Gator Country forum throughout the day on Friday.
Expected visits
Head Coach Will Muschamp is once again expected to hit the road on Friday in the Tampa area and the biggest visitor he’s expected to see is defensive end Byron Cowart.
Cornerbacks coach Travaris Robinson is scheduled to be in South Florida on Friday to take in Booker T. Washington’s game that includes receiver Antonio Callaway, cornerback DaVante Davis and tight end Devonaire Clarington.
Robinson is also likely to see several underclassmen while in the area on Friday.
Offensive coordinator Kurt Roper will be in California on Friday and quarterback commit Sheriron Jones tells GC that he’s expecting Roper at his game on Friday night.
Roper is also expected to stop by 2016 quarterback K.J. Costello and possibly 2016 receiver Dylan Crawford.
Defensive line coach Brad Lawing is expected to join Will Muschamp for defensive end Byron Cowart’s game on Friday.
Running backs coach Brian White is expected to be in Kentucky to visit running back Damien Harris as White tries to nail down an official visit from the talented running back.
Tight ends coach Derek Lewis will return to his home state of Louisiana to recruit. He will see Florida receiver commit Derrick Dillon and 2016 cornerback commit Tre Jackson.
A few other prospects say that Lewis will be and they are 2015 LSU commit Isaiah Washington and 2016 tight end Jamal Pettigrew.
Offensive line coach Mike Summers is expected to visit offensive lineman Isaiah Prince on Saturday for his game.
Summers is also expected to visit offensive lineman Matthew Burrell Jr. for his game on Friday night and could visit Jalen Tabor’s former teammate Quarvarez Boulware.
Gator Country also expects receivers coach Chris Leak and defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin to be on the road but at this time we don’t have a concrete destination for these two coaches.
Look back on Monday
Will Muschamp was in Tampa on Monday and he visited both receiver Ryan Davis and running back Ray-Ray McCloud.
Other notes
Offensive line commit George Brown and linebacker target Roquan Smith say that Florida will visit them during the next bye week before the Georgia game.
I also expect the rest of Florida’s commits will get visits that week if they didn’t receive them this week.
Since Javarious Davis is no longer pledged to North Carolina, does that mean that we can expect him to say yes to Florida soon? That is, if he is a player Florida would take right now.
