Florida 2013 signee Tyler Moore

Tyler Moore

School(s): Countryside High/Nebraska

Hometown: Clearwater, Fla.

Height: 6-foot-5

Weight: 312 pounds

GC Composite Ranking: NR

Recruited by: Tim Davis

Notable: Set a Nebraska record for an offensive linemen with four starts as a true freshman before deciding to sit out of football for a year while attending St. Petersburg College. Also considered re-signing with Nebraska or Florida State before choosing Florida. Will be eligible to play this fall and will technically be a sophomore, meaning he has three years of eligibility remaining. He was the 10th true freshman to start on the offensive line in Nebraska’s history and first to start the season opener. Moore is especially strong at run blocking as the Huskers rushed for more than 200 yards in each of his four starts. In high school, Moore was a four-star prospect by recruiting networks. He played in the U.S. Army All-American Game that featured three players who would announce verbal commitments to the Gators that day in Matt Elam, Sharrif Floyd and Ronald Powell.

Quotable: “At Florida he likes that they are in the SEC and the competition level there. He also has some friends at Florida they met during the recruiting process and from home. Gainesville is also closer to home for him. Another thing is Florida is trying to become a running team and Tyler fits that bill as an offensive lineman. I think that is why both parties are interested in each other.” — Brian Moore, Tyler’s father, told GatorCountry.com.
