Clemson WR pledge trying to visit

When Florida welcomes South Carolina to The Swamp on Saturday, the Gamecocks won’t be the only visitors in town – the Gators will also be hosting several recruits.

One prospect who was slated to visit Florida for the LSU game on Oct. 6 and never came was Fort Valley (Ga.) Peach County receiver Demarcus Robinson. Two weeks later, Robinson said he is again trying to come to Gainesville this weekend.

“I’m still undecided right now,” Robinson said. “If I do visit it could be an unofficial or official. I’ll have to talk to Florida about it and see which one they want me to do. My mom will visit with me.”

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Robinson is committed to Clemson, but he says three other schools are still recruiting him.

“Florida, Notre Dame and Alabama are still after me,” Robinson said. “They said they will continue to recruit me even though I’m committed to Clemson.”

Robinson said that while Clemson is still recruiting him hard, he has noticed another school being even more aggressive lately.

“I would say Florida is recruiting me the hardest right now,” Robinson said. “Clemson is recruiting me hard too. I talk to them about once or twice a week.”

Robinson says he remains a strong commitment to Clemson but still wants to take visits to make sure he made the right decision.
