O-Dome Slashes 1,000 Seats; Do You Still Have Yours?

Special to GC-

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Stephen C. O’Connell Center renovation moves another step closer to reality on Saturday, as the University Athletic Association announced seating plans for the renovated building.

The plan is featured in detail at FloridaGators.com/renovation, which includes a detailed seating map, new renderings of sideline and courtside club areas, Gator Boosters contribution information and a frequently-asked questions section.

The renovated arena will essentially be a new building from the walls in. With chairback seating in the entire arena, capacity will be reduced by approximately 1,000.

The new renovation page will be updated throughout the construction process with news, photos and updated seating information as the project progresses.

Ticket office and Gator Boosters staff will also be available to answer questions in person pregame and halftime of all remaining home men’s basketball games, located in the Gate 2 corner of the O’Connell Center.
