Florida Gator Recruiting Mailbag

Q.) What is the biggest need to finish out this class?

A.) I think adding a pass rusher and more offensive linemen are the biggest needs, followed closely by another receiver.

Q.) Do you expect another avalanche of commits anytime soon?

A.) I really don’t. I expect it to be maybe one here and another there kind of thing.

Q.) Will we end up with another wide receiver and running back and if so, who would you guess they will be?

A.) I think you will see another receiver in the class but I don’t think you will see another running back. For receiver, it’s between Travis Rudolph and Josh Malone.

Q.) Who has not scheduled an official that UF really wants to get on campus? Which game is presently set to have the most recruits attending?

A.) Tennessee and Florida State are setting up to be the two biggest games for Florida this year. As far as the player who has yet to set up an official, I would say Josh Malone.

Q.) Do you see us having any linebackers in this class?

A.) Right now I lean towards no, but let’s see who visits and how many times they do.

Q.) Who do you feel like will be the linebackers in this class?

A.) I don’t see one in the class right now but the guy that Florida has the best chance with is Raekwon McMillan.

Q.) Who out of the California kids, Jackson, Mixon and Williams will be in this class?

A.) Adoree’ Jackson is the guy that Florida wants the most and has the best chance with.

Q.) What´s the latest on Bo? How are we looking for him? What has happened between Bo and Bama?

A.)Honestly, there is nothing new on Bo right now but Florida is hoping to get him on campus soon.

Q.) How many more defensive lineman and defensive ends and who are they gonna be most likely?

A.) Florida would like to add another defensive tackle and 1-2 more defensive ends.

Q.) Knowing we need a tight end, two offensive lineman and two defensive lineman – who do we go after?

A.)Deandre Goolsby is the top tight end and on the offensive line David Sharpe, Jordan Sims and Damian Prince are all candidates.

Q.) Which prospects would you say are Florida Gator leans?

A.) Jamal Adams, David Sharpe and Lorenzo Carter are the three guys that I consider Gator leans.

Q.) Besides Lorenzo Carter, who else are we looking at for BUCK?

A.) He’s really it right now.

Q.) With all the rumors floating around about Valentine wanting back in but grades being an issue… what are your thoughts?

A.) He has work to do to get in the class. Right now, I say he isn’t a Gator in February.

Q.) What happened to recruit Joseph Paul?

A.) Better prospects on the board.

Q.) Who do you think we have a good shot at for the offense line that hasn’t committed- also the same for defensive end?

A.) David Sharpe and Jordan on the offensive line. Dewayne Hendrix and Davonte Lambert at defensive end.

Q.) How can T-Rob recruit so many good recruits from a traditionally difficult area and the remaining coaches recruit so few really high quality recruits from the rest of the state? Should he be giving lessons?

A.) He just relates well to the guys and is a very laid back, so that’s how he does so well.

Q.) How much ground have we made up with Raekwon McMillan and what’s the chances we get him?

A.) A good bit and they are doing better with him. I think Florida is at about 40% chance right now behind Ohio State and Alabama.

Q.) Who do you believe are the five most likely players to be added to our class?

A.) Jamal Adams, Lorenzo Carter, David Sharpe, Travis Rudolph and Adoree’ Jackson.

Q.) Is there any chance we can get in on it for RB Elijah hood from North Carolina?

A.) No, Florida really had no interest in him.

Q.) Do we still look good for Sharpe? Read somewhere that he won’t be taking an official visit to UF.

A.) Yes, they do. An official to Florida isn’t important.
