It won’t take Deiondre Porter (6-0, 163, Tampa, FL Jefferson) long to make a decision. Offered by the Florida Gators last week, Porter visited Florida this weekend and now the USF commitment is ready to choose.  decision soon.

“I plan to make my decision tomorrow night,” Porter said. “ I plan to decide between Florida, South Florida and Central Florida. I think it’s supposed to be between 6 and 7.”

Porter, who just picked up a Florida offer Monday, visited Gainesville for the first time this weekend and enjoyed the family atmosphere around the football program.

“It was a pretty good visit to Florida overall,” Porter said. “The people at Florida were the best part of the whole visit. Everyone there was very welcoming and they players were pretty cool towards me and my family too. The coaches also seemed to enjoy having us around.”

During every official visit the prospects and there family get the opportunity to sit down with Will Muschamp who lays out a plan for development for the next 4-5 years.

Muschamp had a direct message for Porter and his family during their meeting.

“Coach Muschamp was real cool with me,” Porter said. “Coach Muschamp said he was glad that me and my family came up to Florida and that he can’t wait for me to be a Florida Gator one day.”

After meeting with Will Muschamp, Porter got the chance to sit down with Joker Phillips and Travaris Robinson who talked to him about his skill set.

“I got to talk to coach (Kurt) Roper a little but I mainly talked to coach Phillips and coach Robinson,” Porter said. “They were both telling me that they could use my athletic ability to my advantage and find ways to get me on the field.”

Following the visit Porter and his family had the chance to talk about the visit and the Porter family would support Porter being a Gator he says.

“My family loved the visit to Florida,” Porter said. “They said they are sold if I choose Florida tomorrow night.”
