Live from Will Muschamp’s Camp

Gator Country is at Coach Muschamp’s football camp  in force. We’ll  have up to the minute coverage from the camp as we watch several top prospects work out and visit Florida afterwards.

Camp runs through most of the day while prospects get the opportunity to work out with Florida coaches  as the players try to improve their technique.

Top offensive linemen Tyler Jordan, Abdul Bello and Jalen Merrick are in town as well as California quarterback Sheriron Jones.

Here are a few things that you can find on our message board thread from today’s camp:

  • 5 star defensive end CeCe Jefferson is in Baltimore for the Rivals Camp but his father is in Gainesville at Will Muschamp’s football camp.
  • California quarterback Sheriron Jones is getting the red carpet treatment today and has been working one on one with offensive coordinator Kurt Roper.
  • Davante Davis the cornerback from Booker T picked up a Florida offer last night and the Gators want him at safety. I’m told that Florida, FSU and Alabama are all in the mix and Miami is trying to get back in the mix but there is some sour water between the two sides.
  • Clark Yarbrough is a 2016 lineman from Virginia and he picked up a Florida offer on Friday night and the Gators will be in the mix moving forward. I’ll have more on him later today.
  • Cornerback Jalen Thompson worked out with T-Rob on Friday night and Thompson was raving about his experience with him. Thompson is loving Florida so far.
  • Receiver Antonio Callaway was on campus Friday from Booker T and while he calls Florida his leader the receiver is no hurry to commit. Callaway has Florida ahead of Miami and others right now.
  • Defensive tackle Kendrick Norton is on Florida’s campus on Saturday like I hinted at earlier this week. This is Norton’s second time on campus since decommitting from FSU as he was always on campus this past Thursday for awhile with Brad Lawing.
  • Offensive lineman Tyler Jordan has taken the role as the lead recruiter for this class early on and he’s a guy that is talking to everyone interested in Florida and taking charge of the class.

We also have video interviews, here’s one where Jalen Thompson talks about his UF visit and his top 3 schools:
