Lang calls Florida Gators recruiting class “amazing”

One of the bright spots for the Gators right now is how good the Florida Gators recruiting class of 2018 is and how they’re already bonding together as a close-knit family.

On Saturday it was basically a reunion of sorts as many of the commits were in town including tight end commit Dante Lang (6-5, 220, Boca Raton, FL. High) who had a good time despite the outcome of the game.
“It was great. I got to hang out with a lot of the commitments,” Lang said of Saturday’s visit. “I was upset because I thought we’d get a win, but they played great, so I had fun and everything.”

Lang noticed something special about the team after the Gators loss on Saturday to LSU at home.
“That even when they’re losing, they can come back, to be honest,” he said on what stood out on Saturday. “They’re never gonna stop trying, and that’s what I like. We’re always gonna fight.”
The coaching staff also made sure to give Lang a message about why he should stick with the Gators.
“Stay down. Stay down for Florida, that’s it,” Lang said of Florida’s message to him. “Don’t let nobody change your mind.”

Lang also had the chance to see for himself that the Gators aren’t scared to play young guys and that’s another reason he’s solid to Florida.
“Rotation a lot. They let a lot of guys go in so they stay healthy,” he said on Florida’s offense and what he likes about young guys playing. “That’s great, to be honest. Get up here as a freshman and get playing time.”

One thing is for sure after Saturday is that Lang feels very good about the Gators recruiting class on the offensive side of the ball.
“Our offensive class is amazing, to be honest,” Lang said on Florida’s offensive commits. “We got a great quarterback, we got a great running back, receivers. We’re gonna be straight when we get here. We’ve just gotta put in the work.”
Next up for Lang is likely another trip to Gainesville as he’s not expecting to visit any other schools besides Florida.
“Back here. Nowhere else, though,” he said on where else he’s visiting. “Not listening to nobody.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Lang is a solid commit and is improving as a tight end weekly. Lang is a long tight end that will continue to develop as a pass catcher and blocker.
