Ladson newest member of the Florida Gators recruiting class

The Florida Gators recruiting class of 2019 picked up its third commit on Saturday afternoon.

2019 receiver Frank Ladson (6-4, 170, Miami, FL. South Dade) committed to Florida while on campus on Saturday for the Gators junior day.

“Florida always been one of my top schools,” Ladson said. “With my favorite college WR Antonio Callaway being there and getting a feel for the school and coaches it felt like the right thing to do.”

Ladson committed to Gators head coach Jim McElwain and the head man was excited to hear the news.

He said welcome to the family,” he said of McElwain’s reaction. “He said that he’s very excited to hear the good news.”

One of the Gators new assistant coaches was the main recruiter for Ladson and he was happy to hear the news.

“Coach [Corey] Bell and Coach Hova,” Ladson said on who was his main recruiter. “They were telling me how I could really be a good fit to the program and how excited they were to have me.”

Receivers coach Kerry Dixon also met with Ladson on Saturday and explained a need for him.

“He said I would fit in good,” he said of Dixon’s message. “He said he likes his receiver to be able to go deep and he calls his receivers the bombsquad.”
Ladson joins safety Jaleel McRae and defensive tackle Jaquaze Sorrells as members of the 2019 class.
