Harris flips to Florida from Florida State

The Gators have flipped another Florida State commitment this time its quarterback Treon Harris (5-11, 180, Miami, FL Booker T Washington) who flipped on Wednesday morning.

Harris has been committed to Florida State since July but visited Florida, Auburn and Miami in consecutive weeks.

According to Harris’ brother and offensive coordinator at Booker T the offense at Florida was the reason for the flip.

“Coach(Kurt) Roper coming in and the offense changing its similar to the offense we run at Booker T,” Tim Harris Jr. said. “That part will help his chances at Florida and allow him to show his skill set at the next level. Florida’s system puts him in the best situation to succeed and it’s an ideal fit for him.”

Harris joins Will Grier as quarterbacks in the Class of 2014 and joins Quincy Wilson, Brandon Powell and Khairi Clark as South Florida prospects in the class.
