The Florida Gators jumped up eight spots from No. 23 to No. 15 in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings.
Florida dropped out of the ranking entirely following a loss on the road at Arkansas but the Gators jumped back in after a home win over the South Carolina Gamecocks. Last week the Gators took their show back on the road to LSU. A double-digit underdog, Florida’s 16-10 win shocked most and aided their jump up in the poll this week.
As it stands, the Gators have an 0-1 record (loss at Tennessee) against teams that are currently ranked in the College Football Playoff Rankings.
The Gators will finish its season against No. 14 Florida State this Saturday and then face off against No. 1 Alabama in the SEC Championship. If the Gators can win their next two games, a tall task on the road at FSU and then against Alabama, they stand a chance to make it to the College Football Playoff.
