Fleming has a special connection to the Florida Gators

On Friday, the Florida Gators hosted a 7-on-7 tournament that had several instate teams on campus, which included a few prospects that the Gators are interested in.

Southridge High school was one of those schools on campus and 2020 receiver Marcus Fleming (5-11, 175, Miami, FL. Southridge) was with his team on Friday.

“It feels great,” Fleming said on having a good 7-on-7 tournament at Florida on Friday. “Than getting to meet all of the coaches feels great to.”

Fleming has a connection to the Gators and it’s a family connection that he admits is important to him.

“My sister goes here,” he said of his sister who attends Florida. “Yes it is [if it’s important she goes to UF].”

This is the second time in the last two months that Fleming has been in Gainesville and he says he likes the Gators and how things operate for Florida.

“I really like the Gators because it’s home,” Fleming said on what he likes about Florida. “I don’t really have to go to far from the house to get here. I like the program here and how the program works.”

Back in May, the Gators offered Fleming a scholarship and it was one that was special to him and one he likes a lot.

“It means a lot,” he said on what the offer meant to him. “They’re very cool [he said of the staff], they get along very well. I know a couple of people here and they tell me it’s a good program and stuff.

Fleming who has been picking up steam in his recruitment as of late isn’t ready to name any leaders but does know when he wants to cut down his list of schools.

“Probably the middle of this upcoming season,” he said on when he wants to cut down his list. “I don’t have any leaders though.”
