Last weekend the Florida Gators hosted its first junior day under head coach Jim McElwain and it was a successful one that produced two commits. The Gators are hoping for the same success as they will host a number of prospects this weekend.

Some prospects are coming to Gainesville on Friday in order to watch the Gators practice, but most of the prospects will be on campus for Saturday’s second junior day.

Much like last weekend Florida will host several big name prospects as well as four of its five commits for the class of 2016 who will be helping the Gators recruit.

Here’s a look at the prospects that McElwain and company are expecting this weekend.

Three players the Gators are in good shape for:

Receiver Isaiah Johnson (6-3, 190, West Palm Beach, FL Dwyer) visited Florida last weekend as a Miami commit and he quickly decommitted from the Canes following the visit to Florida. The Gators are in great shape here and Johnson could pull the trigger on a commitment on Friday when he visits Florida.

Safety Spencer Perry (6-3, 202, Bradenton, FL IMG Academy) has been to Florida three times in a month and on Friday he will return to Florida with his family in tow. Perry is someone else that Florida could land this weekend with a good visit.

Athlete Tyrek Tisdale (5-11, 200, Orlando, FL Oak Ridge) visited Florida last weekend for junior day and had a great trip. Tisdale talks very highly of Florida and a return trip on Saturday just a week after his first trip could mean good news for Florida this weekend.

Four commits coming to town:

Florida only has five commits in the class and four of them will be in town this weekend to help McElwain and the coaching staff recruit the other big targets.

Raines teammates defensive end Jaquan Bailey and receiver Rick Wells will make the short drive up from Jacksonville on Saturday.

Defensive end Eric Mitchell and linebacker Vosean Joseph will make the trip up Florida on Saturday from South Florida and this will be the first visits to Florida for both of these players.

Central Florida prospects invading Gainesville

Four central Florida players will make the short drive up to Gainesville this weekend for junior day and three of these players hold offers from the Gators.

Offensive lineman Parker Boudreaux (6-5, 291, Orlando, FL Bishop Moore) will make his second trip to Florida this month as the Gators try to catch up to Clemson for Boudreaux’s signature in February.

Receiver Eddie McDoom (6-1, 170, Winter Gardner, FL West Orange) will make his visit to Florida since receiving an offer a few weeks ago. Alabama and Clemson are two other teams in the mix for McDoom.

Quarterback Woody Barrett (6-2, 221, Winter Gardner, FL West Orange) just picked up offers from Alabama and Auburn recently but Florida has not offered him, but that could potentially change this weekend.

Offensive lineman Stone Forsythe (6-7, 331, Winter Garden, FL West Orange) has not been offered by Florida yet but he’s someone that Florida is continuing to keep an eye on.

Georgia boys heading south

Linebackers Tre Lamar ( 6-3, 240, Roswell, GA High) and Ja’Quain Blakely (6-2, 207, Moultrie, GA Colquitt County) will make the trip down to Florida on Saturday for their first trip to Gainesville. Both have offers from the Gators already.

Receiver Maysoe Wiley (6-4, 195, Hahira, GA Valwood) is hoping to earn an offer from Florida this weekend on his first trip to Florida.

Running backs looking for offers

Running backs Zack Moss (5-9, 203, Hialeah Gardens, FL Mater Academy) and Travis Homer (5-9, 187, West Palm Beach, FL Oxbridge Academy) will both be looking for offers from Florida this weekend. Homer has seen his recruitment blow up lately including an offer from Florida State recently.

The following guys will be on campus Friday to watch

WR Rick Wells
WR Eddie McDoom
S Spencer Perry
WR Isaiah Johnson
QB Woody Barrett
DE Jaquan Bailey
CB Carlos Becker
OL Stone Forsythe
2017 OL Blake Vinson (6-5, 288, Ocala, FL Trinity Catholic)
2017 Miami QB commit Todd Centeio (6-0, 195, West Palm Beach, FL Dwyer)
